An announcement was made on the Government Gazette’s website on September 29, 2022. “The state of emergency has been lifted in all local regions of the Kingdom; announcements, requirements, and directives,” it stated.

A state of emergency was declared in all parts of the Kingdom at the start of the COVID emergency, and it has been extended 19 times until September 30, 2022, so that different measures can be taken in accordance with the provisions of the Emergency Decree on Government Administration in Emergency Situations, B.E.

The present position in respect to the COVID-19 epidemic is that the global trend is improving. According to the World Health Organization, the number of deaths from the disease has decreased significantly and is now at its lowest level since March 2020. This is consistent with the state of affairs in Thailand as a whole.

The number of deaths and illnesses has been reduced as a consequence of the vigorous and ongoing execution of public health measures since the epidemic, as well as improved public cooperation in getting vaccines. This is also due to how successfully and consistently health officers have performed their duties by addressing all sectors’ activities and implementing the appropriate public health measures for illness prevention and control.

As a consequence, it is feasible to ease the enforcement of regulations in order to reduce the impact on both individuals and businesses. Since the circumstances that prompted the creation of a state of emergency has significantly improved, this will return economic and social activities to normal. As is customary, both public health administrative and security forces were able to take legal action to resolve the issue, as mandated by government authorities.

It is hereby declared, in accordance with Section 5, paragraph three of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations (B.E. ), that:

The proclamation of a state of emergency in all areas of the Kingdom on March 25, 2020, and the extension of the state of emergency in all parts of the Kingdom, shall be revoked. The state of emergency will remain in effect in the southern border provinces where it has been established.

All of the following terms, announcements, and orders are null and void.

(1) Requirements, announcements, and instructions resulting from the proclamation of a state of emergency in all regions of the Kingdom in accordance with Article 1.

(2) Proclamations and orders issued under certain laws that are deemed proclamations or orders under Article 1 about establishing a state of emergency across the Kingdom.

This will take effect on October 1, 2022.

It was announced on September 29, 2022.
