Thailand and Australia Discuss UN Cooperation and Global Challenges

Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations at Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Robyn Mudie, First Assistant Secretary of the Southeast Asia Regional and Mainland Division at Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, during a recent diplomatic engagement in Thailand. The talks focused on enhancing multilateral cooperation and addressing global and regional priorities.

During their discussion, both sides exchanged perspectives on key global challenges affecting the multilateral system and emphasized the importance of supporting a rules-based international order. Particular attention was given to reinforcing the role of the United Nations in promoting peace, security, sustainable development, and human rights.

The dialogue also highlighted the commitment of both Thailand and Australia to maintaining open, constructive collaboration on international issues. Officials reaffirmed their countries’ shared dedication to multilateralism and expressed support for ongoing cooperation within the UN framework.

The meeting forms part of regular consultations between the two nations aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and advancing mutual interests on the global stage.
