
BANGKOK – In an effort to promote healthier living, Vichaiyut Hospital organized the Walk with Doctors event on July 5, encouraging the public to adopt regular physical activity as part of their daily routine. The community walk covered a distance of 2.6 kilometers through the Phaya Thai district of Bangkok, drawing approximately 300 participants including hospital staff and local residents.
The event opened with remarks from Dr. Vichian Kanchanapoomi, Senior Vice President of Vichaiyut Hospital, and featured a health talk titled 30 Minutes to Change Your Life: Walk for Better Health Every Day, delivered by Dr. Sukchan Phongpraphai, a rehabilitation medicine specialist. Participants had the opportunity to undergo body composition screenings to gain insights into their physical condition.
The initiative aimed to highlight the role of simple physical activities such as walking in improving overall health and preventing lifestyle-related diseases. Walking is widely recognized by health experts as an accessible and low-impact way to enhance cardiovascular fitness and maintain a healthy weight.
Vichaiyut Hospital emphasized the importance of community-centered health programs in improving long-term public health outcomes. The hospital expressed its ongoing commitment to fostering awareness about daily exercise and supporting events that promote wellness and preventive healthcare.
The walk also saw the presence of Minister of Commerce Jatuporn Buruspat, along with representatives from the Public Relations Department and Phaya Thai District Office, underscoring official support for public health initiatives.
