Chompu Marusachot, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s New York Office, expressed her excitement over the recognition, emphasizing that this endorsement reflects Thailand’s enduring charm and reputation for warm hospitality.
Travel + Leisure selected Thailand for its emphasis on providing authentic cultural experiences, diverse culinary offerings, and commitment to responsible tourism that preserves natural and cultural heritage. This annual “Destination of the Year” honor, now in its tenth year, recognizes countries that set benchmarks in cultural richness, tourism innovation, and sustainable travel practices.
