Strict security measures have been implemented for the transportation of ballot papers to polling stations in Thailand, according to official sources. The first batches of shipments, intended for early voting on May 7th, have already arrived safely in the southern region, accompanied by police officers to ensure safety and order.
The ballot papers were carried in GPS-equipped vehicles with law enforcement personnel onboard. They have been securely stored and counted before being distributed to the three electoral districts of the province where over 9,000 people have registered to vote early in Yala.
Meanwhile, ballot papers for early voting in the northern and northeastern regions were dispatched yesterday from Thailand Post’s facility in Lak Si, Bangkok, in preparation for this Sunday.
The Royal Thai Police has established a special operation center to oversee the security and organization of the general election. In addition, police officers have been deployed to accompany every vehicle transporting ballot papers, with highway police vehicles leading and following the shipping vehicles on every trip. Local police stations along the route are also tasked with providing the highest level of security and protection.
These measures are in place to ensure a smooth and secure voting process for all eligible voters in the upcoming general election.
