From 22 to 31 January, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is touring the city to carry out tests on people who might be infected with Covid. The objective is to control the spread of the extremely transmissible Omicron variant, according to BMA Permanent Secretary Khajit Chatchavanich.
ATKs will be used at the testing sites to obtain a result within 30 minutes. Those who test positive will then be subjected to an RT-PCR test for confirmation.
Patients with a positive RT-PCR test will be treated at their home, in a community isolation centre, a field hospital or a hospital, depending on the severity of the disease.
People wishing to be tested can go to the local testing centre with their identity card and a blue pen. Everyone is required to strictly follow the HATD measures to protect themselves from infection and not pass it on to others.
The testing centres will be located in different communities as follows:

23 January: Soi Kunnatee, Pattana Moo 8 villages, Wat Dao Khanong communities.
