Recently, Pol. Lt. Gen. Surachet “Big Joke” Hakkapal, the Deputy Police Commissioner, made a significant revelation regarding the mysterious disappearance and brutal murder of 62-year-old German real estate businessman, Hans Peter Mack, which occurred on July 4. In a major breakthrough, the authorities successfully apprehended four suspects linked to the shocking crime that had captured widespread attention from both the public and the media in Nong Prue, Chonburi.

Among the key suspects taken into custody was Mr. Olaf, a German national known to be associated with the notorious Outlaws gang in Pattaya. The arrest of these individuals prompted Police Commissioner, Pol. Lt. Gen. Damrongsak Kittiprasop, to issue orders for further investigations to delve deeper into the activities of the Outlaws gang, as reported by Siam Rath.

The investigation into the Outlaws gang revealed a troubling portrait of the group. The gang members shared a passion for riding large motorcycles and often gathered together, comprising individuals from various nationalities. The gang’s activities were centered around the vibrant city of Pattaya in Chonburi Province. In response to the seriousness of the case and the potential risks posed by the Outlaws gang, law enforcement agencies, including Immigration Division 3, Chonburi Immigration, Chonburi Tourist Police, Pattaya City Police Station, Nong Prue Police Station, Na Jomtien Police Station, and Pattaya Police Station, collaborated to conduct simultaneous searches at eight different locations linked to the Outlaws group in Pattaya.

The main target of these search operations was Mr. Thomas, an Austrian national, who was believed to be the self-proclaimed leader of the Pattaya Outlaws gang. He resided in a house located at Moo 17, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Province. During the search at Mr. Thomas’s residence, law enforcement officers seized incriminating evidence, including HARLEY DAVIDSON motorcycles and other equipment associated with the Outlaws gang. Mr. Thomas admitted to having held a leadership role within the gang but claimed to have severed ties before the murder took place. However, authorities discovered an arrest warrant for him, related to his involvement in fraud and tampering with the Pattaya City Police Station’s computer system. Consequently, Mr. Thomas was arrested and later transferred to the Pattaya City Police Station for further legal proceedings.

The investigation also led to other significant outcomes:

  1. A search was conducted at the residence of Mr. Danny, a German national, in Chokchai Garden Home Village 2, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. During the search, law enforcement officers seized a Yamaha Z900 motorcycle. Additionally, a check for narcotic substances in Mr. Danny’s body revealed the presence of such substances, leading to his prosecution under the law.
  2. In a separate action, Chonburi Immigration and Investigation Division revoked the permission to stay in the kingdom for two aliens, Mr. Daniel from the United States and Mr. Theodor from Switzerland. This decision was made in accordance with the Immigration Act 1979, as both individuals were found to be non-compliant with the rules and conditions for their stay.
  3. The police also seized four motorcycles, namely HARLEY DAVIDSON models V rod muscle, Roadking 2009, V rod custom, and Panamerica, for further investigation.

Pol. Gen. Surachet highlighted that the murder and dismemberment of the German businessman exposed the involvement of an illegal gang in various criminal activities, including narcotics and human trafficking. In response to this grave situation, he directed officers from Phor. 2, Immigration, and Tourism to intensify efforts in scrutinizing the Outlaws and similar gang groups that pose a potential risk to public safety within the kingdom. The arrest of the Outlaws gang leader, along with other members involved in drug-related offenses, and the revocation of visas for those suspected of committing crimes, are part of an ongoing crackdown on such groups.
