The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) have joined forces in a collaborative effort to tackle corruption in Bangkok. Both organizations have expressed their commitment to promoting anti-corruption practices that require cooperation from both the government and the public.

The NACC President, Police General Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit, emphasized that Bangkok operates under a unique administration structure that does not use a provincial-level committee mechanism. However, the NACC and its office attach significant importance to this special area and are dedicated to combating corruption in the city.

Governor Chadchart Sittipunt of Bangkok acknowledged that preventing and fighting corruption requires the participation of both the public and state agencies. He stated that the BMA is prepared to work alongside the NACC to implement measures and utilize anti-corruption strategies to ensure the effective use of the city’s budget in the future.

In a meeting between the NACC and BMA, the organizations discussed four key areas of cooperation. These areas included developing anti-corruption education programs, evaluating the ethics and transparency of operations, promoting public and government agency involvement, and coordinating responses to corruption-related complaints.

The NACC and BMA expressed their appreciation for all Bangkok governors and administrators who prioritize anti-corruption efforts. They believe that this determination will contribute to making Bangkok a modern, transparent, and corruption-free city. With the cooperation of the government and the public, the fight against corruption in Bangkok is expected to progress positively.
