Govt Invites Public to Purchase Fruits via Thailand Post

Must read

Thailand Post has launched a campaign to increase local consumption of Thai fruits while reducing surplus production.

The harvest season for fruit crops has begun in the Eastern Economic Corridor, which includes the provinces of Chonburi, Rayong, and Trat, according to Deputy Government Spokesman Ratchada Thanadirek. The estimated 2023 output volume is about 1.16 million metric tons, with the peak yields for durian in April at 756,000 tons and mangosteen in May at 184,000 tons.

Thailand Post has announced a special campaign for fruit growers and consumers desiring to send fruit boxes in order to increase domestic consumption of Thai fruits and minimize surplus output. Beginning at 50 baht for goods weighing less than 3 kg, the service offers flat-rate costs for items weighing up to 20 kg, including express mail service (EMS) with regular countrywide delivery. Consumers can use this service at any Thailand Post location.

Orders may be placed using the Prompt Post app or the website “promptpost.thailandpost.com,” with simple procedures for box bookings, pickups at the selected post office, and box labeling for delivery.
