On Tuesday, at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022, Brunei’s national football team will face the defending champion, Thailand.

On Monday, local media outlets reported that Hendra Azam, captain of the Brunei national team, encouraged his teammates to have an optimistic outlook despite the fact that they were well aware that Thailand was the reigning champion.

Azam emphasized to his players that they have to be prepared for anything and do their best because anything may happen during the game.
While in Spain, head coach Mario Rivera Campesino remarked that his team’s training session had gone well since their players had the best mindset and approach.

The AFF hosts a football tournament every two years, and the next one is scheduled for 2022. The 14th edition of the event, set to take place in 2022, will follow the same structure as the first, including two groups of five teams each.
