On October 12th, vaccinations against COVID-19 were made available to children aged 6 months to 4 years. Now that vaccination is completely elective, parents may take their kids to whichever clinic or hospital they choose to obtain injections.

Nonthaburi province’s infant immunization service was examined by Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. These children receive their first and second vaccinations at 4-week intervals. In this case, you’ll need to wait 8 weeks between the second and third injections.

The immunization dosage for children is significantly lower than that for adults (30 micrograms vs. 3 micrograms). There are ten doses of the Pfizer vaccine for infants and toddlers in a single vial with the dark red cap.

On Monday, Tares Krassanairawiwong, director general of the Department of Disease Control, said that the first shipment of 500,000 pills had been sent to all hospitals in the country. The DDC might be asked for more vaccination supplies by the provincial health office in any given region if there is a need. For more information on the vaccine for young children, parents should dial 1422 to reach the DDC’s information line.

Dr. Tares estimates that 300,000 parents have already committed to vaccinating their children. Parents may have their kids vaccinated at any public health clinic.
