Developing news – On Thursday, a former police officer killed 34 people in a child care centre in the Na Klang District of Nong Bua Lamphu, police confirmed.
According to reports, 22 of the vicitms are children.
Information from the Central Intelligence Bureau suggest, that the shooter has taken his own life.
The centre is run by the Uthai Sawan Thambon administration organisation.
Former Pol Cpl Panya Khamrab, who was recognized as the shooter, was armed with firearms and knifes, reports say.
After breaking into the building, the killer started shooting at the people inside.
Khamrabs wife and child were among the victims.
