The Ministry of Public Health has explained its process for distributing vaccines through subdistrict hospitals, which it says is aimed at increasing the immunization rate in local communities. Dr. Suthep Phetmark, the head inspector of the department, said that the vaccines have been distributed to the hospitals for almost a month.

The Emergency Operation Center (EOC) decided to distribute the vaccines to the people in remote areas after a survey revealed that some individuals were not inoculated due to the distances they had to travel to reach the nearest vaccination center.

The ministry responded to a statement posted on social media about its plans to distribute the vaccines to hospitals. Dr. Suthep said that the department is carrying out the immunization program in order to help minimize the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the survey, over 80% of the population has received their first dose of the vaccines, while only 40.7% of them have received their booster.
