This project is a step toward improving the quality of life for the people of Thailand by promoting sustainable public transport.Through the project, EGAT was able to reduce air pollution and improve the efficiency of the used buses by implementing a modification that was carried out by PEA, BMTA, NSTDA, and MEA. The prototype electric bus was used to test the running of public transport services on Route 95 in Bangkhen. The bus, which was an old bus that was acquired by the BMTA, will be renovated and turned into an electric bus by a local company known as Panthong Kool Company Limited.
