On April 11, 2022, the head of the Krabi province Transport office, Mr. Atcha Buachan, teamed up with several transport companies to set checkpoints at the Krabi Yai Subdistrict Mueang Krabi district to ensure road safety during the Songkran holiday to avoid accidents.
Mr. Atcha Buachan has teamed up with 17 public transport bus service companies to ensure all the machinery of the transportation system is working according to the latest safety protocols.
The team ensured that the brakes, air conditioners, lighting systems, seat belts, and other facilities of all the buses, minibusses, and vans were operational.
As a precautionary rule, drivers were tested for alcohol rigorously. The drivers were tested to ensure passengers’ high safety. Moreover, to reduce accidents for passengers traveling back to their homeland.
Also, the team supervised the drivers and passengers to strictly follow public measures like wearing masks and maintaining distance to prevent the spread of COVID_19. Furthermore, the survey claims that vehicles will accommodate only five people as a COVID protocol.
Songkran holidays will be rush time as people travel to their home town.
