When you were a kid, did you despise broccoli? Many of us have had or know someone who has had the bitter taste of the vegetable, and we still loathe it. But what if we tell you that broccoli does not always have to be unpleasant?
Broccoli Revolution has completely changed the way people think about broccoli. With its organic and unprocessed foods, this eco-friendly and plant-based eatery has a lot to offer.
Located on Sukhumvit 49, Broccoli Revolution is easily found on the corner. Broccoli Revolution, unlike many other places, has embraced the “No Plastic” initiative. They are one of the few restaurants that have outlawed the usage of plastic straws and have turned into a plastic recycling drop-off location. They’re also involved in the community through non-profits organizations like Sati, which aims to improve health care and education for underprivileged children.
From Thai Green Curry to Indonesian Tempeh Gado Gado salad, the restaurant has a diverse menu. We tried Laphet Thoke, a classic Burmese salad made with fermented tea leaves, cabbage, tomato, and almonds which can be a go-to for individuals who can handle a little bit of spice. And, if you want to add more grains to your diet, the Black Quinoa and Avocado Salad is a great option; it has a tart and sweet flavor from the apple cider and maple syrup.
However, it was their gluten-free Rainbow Waffles, garnished with banana slices and chocolate sauce, that piqued my interest. Each colored section of the waffles, believe it or not, is created with a specific ingredient. And, of course, no review would be complete without a hearty smoothie bowl and a glass of freshly squeezed juice. These smoothies and juice were a must-try- fresh, naturally sweet, loaded with superfoods, and light yet very filling.
So whether you are vegetarian, vegan, or just want to embrace a healthier lifestyle, Broccoli Revolution has got you covered.
