Amid the vibrant streets of Bangkok, Governor Chadchart Sittipunt’s tenure at the helm of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) receives widespread acclaim, as unveiled by a recent NIDA Poll. Over a span of two years, Chadchart has earned significant satisfaction among the city’s populace.

The National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) conducted an exhaustive survey, engaging 2,000 Bangkok residents aged 18 and above through telephone interviews. Spanning from May 16 to 27, the poll explored 17 pivotal facets of urban life, ranging from the cost of living to flood management.

According to the survey findings, a notable 50.25% of respondents expressed satisfaction with the BMA’s overall performance, with an additional 18.45% being very satisfied. Nevertheless, 20.35% conveyed dissatisfaction, while 10.60% were very unsatisfied.

When it comes to tourism, 43.05% expressed satisfaction, while 20.15% were very satisfied. Conversely, 21.30% reported dissatisfaction, with 8.20% being very unsatisfied.

Regarding the augmentation of green spaces, 45.75% indicated satisfaction, with 19.60% very satisfied. However, 21.65% were not satisfied, and 10.30% were very unsatisfied.

Improvements in pavement use garnered approval from 46.60% of respondents, among whom 19.35% were very satisfied. Conversely, 21.30% expressed dissatisfaction, while 11.60% were very unsatisfied.

In terms of sports promotion, 44.30% voiced satisfaction, with 17.50% being very satisfied. Conversely, 25.40% reported dissatisfaction, and 12.15% were very unsatisfied.

Cleanliness and pollution control garnered satisfaction from 44.30% of respondents, with 17.15% being very satisfied. Nevertheless, 25.40% expressed dissatisfaction, and 12.25% were very unsatisfied.

Regarding public service provision by city officials, 43.15% expressed satisfaction, with 16.90% being very satisfied. Nevertheless, 22.10% conveyed dissatisfaction, while 12.40% were very unsatisfied.

In terms of flood management, 37% expressed satisfaction, with 13.95% being very satisfied. Conversely, 29.05% reported dissatisfaction, and 16% were very unsatisfied.

Public transport development received satisfaction from 41.10% of respondents, with 13.35% being very satisfied. Nevertheless, 29.35% expressed dissatisfaction, and 8.80% were very unsatisfied.

Finally, healthcare satisfaction stood at 41.25%, with 12.65% being very satisfied. However, 28.65% reported dissatisfaction, and 11% were very unsatisfied.

With a margin of error of +/-3%, this comprehensive poll provides a robust glimpse into public sentiment, revealing a city largely supportive of its administration’s endeavors under Governor Chadchart’s leadership.
