Several married couples in northeastern Thailand were arrested on May 23, 2025, for producing and distributing sexually explicit videos for commercial purposes through a subscription-based social media platform, according to the Central Investigation Bureau’s Anti-Human Trafficking Division.

Authorities in Thailand’s northeastern region have detained multiple couples on suspicion of running a network that profited from the sale of explicit swinging videos. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) confirmed that the operation targeted content creators who shared adult material through private groups on Platform X, attracting millions of followers and generating significant income.

One of the primary arrests occurred in Buriram Province, where a couple, both aged 32, allegedly filmed and sold sexual content involving the wife and selected male partners. The husband reportedly organized encounters, allowing his wife to choose participants before recording the videos, which were later uploaded to subscription-only channels. Investigators estimate that the couple had been running the operation for four to five years, earning around 200,000 baht annually, or approximately 6,155 US dollars.

Police reported that users paid subscription fees ranging between 300 and 500 baht (9 to 12 US dollars) to access full-length uncensored clips. The online accounts involved were said to have amassed more than 13 million followers collectively, with total revenues exceeding 10 million baht, roughly 300,000 US dollars.

Simultaneous arrests were conducted in other provinces including Sakon Nakhon, Khon Kaen, and Udon Thani. Additional suspects included individuals aged between 26 and 41 who followed similar methods. According to authorities, husbands filmed their wives engaging in sexual activity with other men and distributed the footage through private online groups in exchange for payments.

All suspects are facing legal proceedings for producing and distributing obscene materials with commercial intent. Charges include the creation, possession, importation, or exportation of explicit content intended for public circulation or trade.

Officials from the CIB emphasized the scale of the operation, noting the coordinated arrests across multiple provinces. The investigation was part of ongoing efforts to monitor and prevent commercial exploitation through online platforms.
