The cat, approximately two months old, was located on Sunday evening by Naree, a rescue dog, and immediately sent to the Wipawadee Pet Clinic for treatment. Veterinarian Wipawadee Pathom-rapeepong, who operates the clinic, had been among those volunteering to help animals affected by the collapse of the State Audit Office building.

Satong’s story quickly gained attention after the clinic shared her rescue on Facebook. Despite her ordeal, the young cat showed incredible resilience. “Satong has such a strong will to survive,” Dr. Wipawadee remarked, highlighting her determination. She was named after the Thai abbreviation for the State Audit Office, reflecting her strength.

The cat underwent a health check and was found to have a fever and a viral infection. However, the clinic promised to provide her with necessary treatment until she recovers. In the meantime, numerous cat enthusiasts flooded the clinic’s social media page, expressing their desire to adopt her.

One of the commenters, Pojana Manotham, emphasized that Satong had become a “star” and would be warmly welcomed into a new home. However, she expressed concern about the safety of high-rise condos, given the tragic collapse.

While many are eager to provide a new home for Satong, Dr. Wipawadee reminded her followers that there are many more animals in need of adoption. “Satong is not the only one waiting for a home,” she said, urging people to consider adopting other cats at the clinic.
