PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN — Provincial authorities met with local hotel operators on March 18, 2025, to outline regulatory guidelines for the hospitality industry and discuss strategies to boost tourism. The meeting, held at the Singkhon Conference Room on the third floor of the Provincial Hall, was chaired by Governor Sittichai Swatsaen, with participation from Provincial Clerk Suthee Laosubinprasert and hotel business representatives.
During the session, officials reviewed key legal provisions under the 2004 Hotel Act, including restrictions on changing hotel types, names, or room capacity without authorization. They also emphasized the responsibilities of hotel managers, such as submitting guest registration records weekly and maintaining security standards. Authorities reminded attendees that failure to comply with regulations could result in the suspension or revocation of operating licenses.
Governor Sittichai also introduced the “Next Move Prachuap” strategic campaign, aimed at enhancing tourism, local products, and services. He stressed the need for collaboration between the public and private sectors to drive tourism development, attract more visitors, and elevate Prachuap Khiri Khan’s standing as an international travel destination.
