One Dead, Three Injured After Vehicles Plunge Off Collapsed Bridge in Narathiwat

A pickup truck and a motorbike plunged off the edge of a collapsed bridge in Narathiwat’s Chanae district early Wednesday morning, killing one person and injuring three others. The cause of the bridge collapse remains unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation.

The incident occurred on Highway 4214, where the bridge spans a large creek in tambon Chang Phueak. According to police reports, the accidents were reported at approximately 5:45 a.m. Emergency responders arrived to find both vehicles had driven off the exposed end of the structure in low visibility conditions before dawn.

The deceased was identified as Aman Je-ma, while three others sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. No further details about their condition have been released.

Authorities are working to determine what caused the bridge to fail and whether structural weaknesses or external factors played a role. The Narathiwat public relations office shared updates on the incident via its official Facebook page.
