Discussion with private sector to develop Benchasiri Park in commemoration of the 90th birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn

Mr. Chatchart Sitthiphan, Governor of Bangkok discussed the Benchasiri Park Development Cooperation Project with Khunying Sasima Sornvikorn, Khun Supalak Umpuch and the Benchasiri Park Development Project Committee at Nopparat Hall, Bangkok (Sao Chingcha).

For the Benjasiri Park Development Cooperation Project, it is a cooperation project between the private sector. to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on the auspicious occasion of her 90th birthday.

The aim is to develop and improve the Benchasiri Park area to be filled with plants and flowers in the nature of a botanical garden. There are musical fountains, water curtains, light and sound shows, and performances of Thai and international arts and culture. The area will also be upgraded to be exercise friendly, it will be an area for the whole family. It will be the first art park in Bangkok to improve the quality of life of Bangkok residents and attract tourists from around the world.

The governor of Bangkok said that this project was a good project that requires the establishment of a joint committee in both the Bangkok metropolitan government, the private sector, and people in the area to take care of each step all dimensions to be in order from design to long-term maintenance. Deputy Governor Chakphan was tasked with organizing a small committee meeting with the relevant parties to set a preliminary framework for a month.

“Cities can be driven by the private sector. Bangkok has a duty to facilitate all sectors. If all parties can work together, the city will be stronger.”
