Following a discussion with the Department of Internal Trade, Suntory Pepsico Thailand announced that the price of its products will not change in June. The company also noted that its planned price hike for all types of packages and sizes will begin in July.

The company had initially planned to raise the prices of its products on June 1. However, it decided to delay the implementation of the price hike to July 1. Due to the rising costs of fuel, Suntory decided to put off the price hike.

In response to the rising prices of consumer products, Wattanasak, the head of the Department of Internal Trade’s (DIT), said his agency is monitoring the situation closely. He also stressed that the price of goods should not be over-burdened by the increase. If found guilty of price gouging or hoarding, the vendor could face up to seven years in prison and a fine of up to 140,000 Baht.
