BMA accelerates the vaccination process

Pol. Asawin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, revealed that Bangkok is preparing for the COVID-19 vaccination.

For children aged 5 to 11 years, the preparation is underway.Parents will decide to let children be vaccinated voluntarily. Schools will be designated as the primary injection sites. However, parental consent is required before allowing children to be vaccinated. Based on the Department of Public Health’s injection plan, it will begin in mid-February 65.

Regarding the results of the Covid-19 vaccination service in Bangkok for the 12-17 age group, out of nearly 499,800 people, 427,696 people received the first dose of vaccine (85.57%). In addition, for the second dose, there are near 387,391 people (or 77.51%).

The dates of January 25 and 26 will mark the beginning of the vaccination process. This operation will be marked by the opening of 18 vaccination points and 9 injection points per day.

Bangkok has accelerated the vaccination of people who have not been vaccinated with the 1st, 2nd, and booster needles continuously. By expanding the vaccination service points, more people can be vaccinated.

Currently, there are 11 affiliated hospitals and 69 public health service centers. BMA has cooperated with government hospitals, private hospitals, and various departments to expand the vaccination service points to cover the area and provide the most convenient access to vaccines for people.

Currently, there are more than 100 sites across 50 districts where residents can register for the 1st, 2nd, and booster vaccinations. Registrations can be obtained through the QueQ application.
